Keith Auspland is a veteran of both the Air Force and the U.S. Army. After a six-year stint out of High School in the Air Force, Keith entered the civilian world. After 14 years as a civilian, and after the events of 9/11, Keith enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 38. Over the course of the next 15 & 1/2 years, Keith would see multiple combat deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After being medically retired in 2016 as a Sergeant First Class, Keith entered Grad School and received his Master's of Social Work at the Kent School of Social Work, the University of Louisville, Kentucky. Keith performs pro-bono social work services exclusively for veterans in the Kentuckiana area. Keith has been a member of Hobart Beach for six years and is the current Senior Vice Commander, having been elected in 2025. Keith is married to April and has six children, seven grandchildren, four dogs, one snake, one cat and FIVE ferrets. Keith has a PTSD/TBI Service Dog, Casey-Jack who is at this writing a 3-year-old Chocolate Labrador. Keith is also on the Board of Directors of Pawsability, LLC; a local 501(c) non-profit that provides Service Dogs to veterans, first responders and correctional officers at NO CHARGE! Keith and his family have lived in Jeffersonville, Indiana for the last 20 years, having been retired from nearby Fort Knox, Kentucky.
